Born and raised in West Virginia, I moved to Myrtle Beach in the early 90s to study Communications at Coastal Carolina University. I am a graduate of the American School of Broadcasting in Oklahoma City and a student of Liberty University pursuing a degree in Digital Arts Media.
A self-described “foodie”, shoe addict and Cheesehead (Go Pack Go!), I'm raising my kids here on the Grand Strand and I have more than 20 years of time earned to be considered a real “Local” by most definitions. My love of radio dates back to early childhood when my grandmother tuned in daily to the Paul Harvey show. As a kid if I wasn’t cheering on school teams with pom poms I could be found in my bedroom reciting the evening news into my curling iron in front of my dresser mirror. (It is true! My Mom verified this to The Tide)
I've worked in various markets including Connecticut, Florida and Virginia wearing different hats from news anchor, lifestyle reporter and a morning radio show host but maybe I'm most well known as one of North Myrtle Beach’s favorite mobile disc jockey and emcee personalities.
I'm also also mother to 4 (yes 4) dogs and I'm passionate about animal health and rescue efforts. If I'm not at the radio station I'm most likely at Starbucks (soy only please!) or the bark park…OR hunting down a sale on shoes!
My philosophy for life and radio is: “Be you and the world will adjust”
